Original and two copies of manuscripts should be submitted to the editor.
- The manuscript should be type-written with double spaced lines, and not exceed 20 sheets of normal type-writing paper.
- References of literature should be in accordance with the forms used in the pages of this journal.
- Plates and figures should be capable of reductions to not more than 12 by 18 centimeters.
- Line drawings should be in black India ink on white drawing board, tracing paper, or coordinate paper printed in blue.
- Photographs should be positive glossy prints.
Two referees chosen by the Editorial Board will read the submitted manuscripts before the articles are accepted for publication.
Reprints will be furnished at cost when ordered.

It is essential as a condition of publication that the author(s) grant in wrighting to THE MINERALOGICAL SOCIETY OF JAPAN the copyright to the manuscript.
The author(s) will retain; all proprietary rights other than copyright such as patent rights and the right to use all or part of the manuscript in future nonjournal works of their own such as lectures, reviews and textbooks.
